

Thomas K. Galten, LCSW CSAC is a clinical therapist and substance abuse counselor. Though he holds a specialty in substance abuse, Tom works with a wide diversity of individual clients and families who present a variety of challenges and difficulties. Tom bases his counseling on an empowerment, positive and strengths-oriented foundation and believes that every client can see real change in their lives for the better. Along with the therapy work, Tom has served as an adjunct instructor at Marquette University, the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and Loyola University - Carthage and regularly presents professional training seminars. Tom is the author of Brief Psychotherapy and Spirituality.
Linda Angel, MSW has been with Family Service of Racine almost 20 years. She graduated from Carthage College and UW Milwaukee. Her background also includes teaching at Cartage and she continues to work with social work students who intern at the agency. “I strongly believe all people have strengths.” and Linda integrates that belief when working with clients. She likes using solution focused methods where the client is engaged in the process. She works with individuals, couples and families.
Issues dealt with are depression, anxiety, grief, loss, elderly issues and family problems which may include parenting skills and behavior changes.
Angela Hansen, LPC graduated from UW Milwaukee and Mount Mary College where she received her master’s degree in therapy. Angela likes to focus on the “here and now” with her clients when providing therapy. She believes in personal accountability for both her clients and in her own life. She admires when people are available to open up to strangers to better themselves and finds that she flexes her therapeutic style to fit each client. Angela stays in tuned to all therapy styles including the traditional as well as the cutting edge.
William Wagner, APSW graduated at the top of his class last September with a concentration in Mental health. He works mainly in modality of Solution-Focused, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Will is our Outreach Therapist and focuses on financially challenged clients who need to pay on a sliding-fee basis.
Chip Wood, MSSW, Executive Director – Chip joined Family Service of Racine in December 2011 as the Operations Manager. Chip’s experience in the non-profit sector is extensive. While working for Mental Health Association in Waukesha County, Inc, as a Mobile Crisis Worker, Chip provided clinical assessment and interventions for mental health emergencies. As a supervisor for MHA, he ensured agency compliance, recruited and trained staff as well as worked with Peer Support Specialists and Counseling Center Volunteers. While working for Justice 2000 he provided leadership and supervision to 16 Case Managers, ensured communication was direct and open between Judges, Attorneys, Management and Case Managers.
Jared Edwards, Operations Manager - Jared has over 15 years experience in the areas of Operations, Human Resources, Sales & Marketing, Customer Service and Technology. Formerly the Director of Operations and Human Resources Director for DaRT Chart Systems, L.L.C., Jared was responsible for the executive level management of 11 of the companies 13 departments with a staff compliment of over 100. His expertise in operational streamlining and process efficiency was paramount to the successful negotiation of the companies 60% annual growth rate for 4 years running. As a consultant in the hospitality industry, Jared has experience both in restaurant management as well as the launching of new concepts with a strong emphasis on operational execution and marketability.
